SVF from Adipose Tissue at EZZ Bonn

SVF therapy in Bonn: Stem cell-rich fraction from autologous fat for maximum joint regeneration — specialists at EZZ Bonn.

SVF from Adipose Tissue

SVF therapy (Stromal Vascular Fraction) is one of the most innovative procedures in regenerative orthopedics. At EZZ Bonn, we obtain a stem cell-rich fraction from a small amount of your own adipose tissue, which is injected sterile and ultrasound-guided into the affected joint, muscle or around the damaged nerve. SVF contains mesenchymal stem cells, growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines that can promote regeneration of damaged tissue. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and is particularly suitable for advanced osteoarthritis, tendinitis, partial tendon tears, muscle injuries, ligament injuries and nerve inflammation. Patients from throughout Germany and internationally — including from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE — have been coming to EZZ Bonn for SVF therapy for years.

Arthrex ACA / SVF Therapy in Bonn

At EZZ Bonn we use a standardised ACA / SVF procedure to obtain the stromal-vascular fraction from your own adipose tissue. The SVF therapy can be combined with ACP or ACP-Max and is administered ultrasound-guided into the affected joint or tissue.

EZZ Exzellenzzentrum Regenerative Orthopädie Bonn GmbH, led by Mario Emmanouilidis, is — with several hundred SVF treatments per year — one of the European high-volume reference centres for ACA / SVF-based regenerative orthopedics.

Frequently Asked Questions

SVF stands for Stromal Vascular Fraction — a stem cell-rich fraction obtained from your own adipose tissue. It contains mesenchymal stem cells, growth factors and anti-inflammatory substances that promote tissue regeneration.

At EZZ Bonn, we harvest a small amount of fat tissue (approx. 20–50 ml) via micro-liposuction — usually from the abdomen or flanks. The fat is then mechanically processed to isolate the stem cell-rich SVF fraction.

The fat harvest is performed under local anesthesia and is well tolerated. Most patients describe only a slight feeling of pressure. The joint injection is comparable to a normal injection. You can go home the same day.

SVF is particularly used for advanced knee and hip osteoarthritis when other procedures like PRP or hyaluronic acid are no longer sufficient. It is also used for cartilage damage, chronic tendon problems, muscle injuries, ligament injuries and nerve inflammation.

The entire procedure — from fat harvest through processing to injection — takes approximately 90–120 minutes at EZZ Bonn. The treatment is outpatient; you can go home independently afterwards.

SVF therapy at EZZ Bonn costs between 1,800 and 2,400 Euro per session. Patients come from throughout Germany and internationally for this specialized procedure. Private health insurance often reimburses the costs.
