Peptide-based approaches in regenerative medicine

Research and perspectives

Modern regenerative medicine is increasingly concerned with biological signalling substances involved in the regulation of cellular processes.

These include peptides — short chains of amino acids that perform a wide range of functions in the human body.

Medical research is examining what significance certain peptides may have for inflammatory processes, tissue regulation and the body's own repair mechanisms.

The EZZ Institute for Regenerative Orthopaedics follows the scientific developments in this field. Our aim is to assess new medical approaches critically and to examine what they might mean for future orthopaedic treatment concepts.

Important notice

Peptide-based regenerative treatments are not currently part of the treatment offering at EZZ. For various experimental peptides there is as yet insufficient clinical evidence of efficacy and safety, and no corresponding approval under medicines law.

What we actually offer

Our regenerative procedures are established and described in the treatment section — among them ACP and ACP-Max, Arthrosamid for knee osteoarthritis, hyaluronic acid and SVF from the patient's own adipose tissue.
